Actively practicing since 2006, Milovan Milenković is a Prague / Belgrade based freelance photographer. Blending inclination towards the visual with his interests and hobbies has further led him to dive deeper into documentary photography. His independent work centres around visual storytelling, where he chronicles everydayness, social distortion patterns and quirks of the mundane.

Working for newspapers, magazines, production companies and numerous organisations and individuals, gave him the opportunity to get involved with diverse projects and assignments. He has gain the abundance of field experience through covering current affairs, various events and topics, as well as practicing portraiture and architecture photography. For almost a decade, he has been engaged as a photographer and later a photo editor in Vreme, a prominent Serbian weekly.

Besides commercial and editorial engagements, in 2009 he joined a non-profit photo-collective Belgrade Raw, where he explored social and urban aspects of his hometown. Shortly thereafter, he co-founded Kamerades, a collective he has been a member of for 7 years; there, he focused on documenting social issues from his own point of view. With both collectives he took part in group exhibitions (as an author and a curator), both in Serbia and abroad, and had his work published in two books – “Belgrade Raw”, 2013 and “Dirty Season”, 2014.

His continuous commitment and elaborate approach through photographing and editing enables him to produce short- and long-term photo sets and essays. Available for collaboration primarily in Prague and Belgrade.
